Warm and light — the two things you need in a sleeping bag. Stayed comfortable down to about 50F on a mountain camp.
Camping Sleeping Bag 50°F to 77°F – Lightweight 3-Season Pack for Backpacking
You did the packing maths the night before and the sleeping bag didn't make the cut.
It was either too heavy for a 12-mile day, too bulky to fit alongside the tent and the stove, or you made the call to bring an extra layer of clothing instead. So now it's 9 PM at camp, the temperature is dropping towards 10°C, and you're putting on every piece of clothing in your pack to keep from shivering through the night.
This bag weighs 700 g (1.5 lb) and packs down to 20 x 32 cm (8 x 13 in) — small enough to disappear inside a pack next to the rest of your gear, and rated for the temperature range you actually camp in from spring through autumn.
Here's how it works.
The temperature rating runs 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F) — practical for spring, summer, and autumn trips where overnight lows stay at 10°C and above. Cold-weather mummy bags are overkill for that window. They roast you out by midnight and add a pound and a half you didn't need to carry.
The 170T polyester shell handles incidental moisture and abrasion against tent floors. The cotton fill breathes — useful when overnight lows sit around 15–20°C and tightly insulated bags trap heat to the point you're sleeping on top of the bag instead of inside it.
75 x 210 cm (29.5 x 82.7 in) of sleeping surface — room for adults up to 6 ft to lie flat without feet pressing against the foot of the bag.
