The Activearo Fishing Rod Building Kit is one of those fishing gifts for men that he will not already own: 425 pieces that become a baitcaster rod and reel on its own display stand. It suits the angler who has every bit of tackle and still loves a project.

The reel genuinely works. Flip the switch and the line drops, turn the handle and it winds back onto the gold spool through red and yellow gears you can watch turning. Built, the model is 68.5 cm (27 in) long and stands 48 cm tall, with a silver grip, a five-section rod and four buildable lures with brick treble hooks.

Worried he will get stuck? The bricks come in bags with a picture instruction book, so it is a relaxed evening build for adults and a fun one to share with children aged 6 and up. Once it is finished it becomes a fishing display piece for the desk or shelf that everyone wants to wind.

Key Features:

Working reel lets out the line with a switch and winds it back in with the handle.
Visible red and yellow gears inside the reel show how a real baitcaster turns.
425 building pieces with a picture instruction book for a relaxed evening build.
Finished rod and reel model measures 68.5 cm long and stands 48 cm tall on its own display stand.
Four buildable fishing lures with brick treble hooks hang from the stand and the line.
Silver metal-look handle with gold and black rings gives the finished model a premium look.
A fishing gift for dads, grandads and anglers who have everything, ready to give in its box.

Activearo makes kit for people who would rather be on the water, and this rod building set keeps the hobby going through the long winter months.
