The Activearo Slingshot Fishing Rod is a beginner fishing rod that sends the bait out with a pull-back launch band instead of an overhead cast. Children get the hang of it on the first go, so the day is spent fishing rather than sorting out tangles.

A double latex band runs along the 38.5 cm blue tube to a launch tip at the back. Pull it back, aim at the water and let go, and the rig flies out straight. Once it lands it fishes like any rod, with real line, real hooks and the spincast reel in the metal reel seat to wind it back in.
