How a cover with its own sole works
A rain shoe cover has two jobs: go on over the shoe you're already wearing, and take the wet walk so your shoe doesn't. This one does both with three parts:
- A front zipper opens down the front, so your shoe slides straight in while it's still on your foot. Step in, zip up, done.
- An instep strap and a drawstring top hold it in place: the elastic strap snaps across the instep as you walk, and the cord and toggle close the top around your ankle or pant leg.
- Its own thick sole with a raised rim and a maze-pattern tread sits between your shoe and the street, so the puddles and the grit meet that sole instead of yours.

Are they waterproof?
We want to be straight about this. They're PVC covers with a front zipper, and we have not tested them as waterproof, so treat them as protection for rainy walks and rides, not for standing in deep water.
Do they really go on over the shoes I'm wearing?
Yes, that's the whole idea. The zipper opens down the front, so your shoe slides straight in while it's still on your foot. Step in, zip up, snap the strap and go.
What size should I order?
Order by your shoe size. They come in five sizes, S to XXL, for men and women, and the size guide shows which shoe sizes each one fits. Between sizes, take the larger size. If you wear wide shoes, one reviewer's tip is to size up.
Will they stay in place when I walk?

Do they go over or under my pants?
Either works. The cord and toggle close the top around your ankle with your pants over the cover, or around your pant leg if you'd rather tuck them in. The shaft is 8.7 inches tall, enough to cover the whole shoe and the top of your sock line.
Are they slip-resistant?
We don't claim slip resistance. The sole has a maze-pattern tread, so it has a pattern to walk on, but wet tile and polished floors indoors still call for care.
Can I wear them on a bike or scooter?
They're made as protection for rainy walks and rides, and a wet scooter commute is one of the scenes in our photos. One reviewer wears them cycling to work in the rain. Either way your shoe stays inside the cover, on the cover's own sole.
How do I clean them?
Hand wash them, and don't dry clean. The mud and road grit stay on the covers when you pull them off at the door, so it's the covers that get the wash.
What comes in the box?
One pair: two covers, one for each foot, in black. So both feet are covered from the first rainy walk.
What if they don't fit?
Start a return within 30 days of delivery. If it's the size, check the size guide first, and take the larger size if you sit between two.
