The Activearo Compact Monocular is a 10x25 pocket telescope that brings whatever you are squinting at ten times closer. It is 3.54 inches long and 1.10 inches across, so it lives in a jacket pocket rather than a drawer. That is the whole point of it, because an optic in your pocket is worth more to you than a sharper one sitting at home.
The 25 mm objective gives a field of view of 393 feet at 1000 yards, and that figure is printed on the barrel rather than buried in a spec sheet. Focus is manual, with a dioptre scale marked plus, zero and minus so you set it once for your own eye, and the rubber eyecup folds down for use with glasses.
At the marsh edge, on a ridge or from the back of a stand, it comes out of your pocket, focuses in a second and goes back.
Two things it is not. The front lens is 25 mm, which makes this a daylight optic rather than a stargazing one. And the maker states no water resistance rating anywhere, so we do not claim one.
