Rain does not wait for you to find the right shoes. The bin needs moving, the dog needs letting out, something in the yard wants looking at, and you are standing at the back door working out whether it is worth changing your footwear for two minutes outside.
Most people solve that badly. Sneakers soak through. A tall wellington is too much boot for a short errand, so it stays in the cupboard and you go out in the sneakers anyway.
One moulded piece, styled like a stitched boot
These are ankle-height rain boots you step into. No laces, no zip, no fastening of any kind. Grab the tab at the heel and you are out of the door.
The interesting part is how they are built. Look closely at the panel lines running down the side and up the heel: they read as stitching, and they are not. Those lines are moulded relief in one continuous PVC shell that runs from the collar to the outsole as a single piece. The boot is styled like a stitched leather bootie and has none of the thread holes that come with one. That is why water does not get through it.
What limits you is the height, not the material
They come to just above the ankle bone. Step into water deeper than the collar and it comes in over the top, the same as any ankle boot. We would rather tell you that here than have you find it out in a wet farmyard.
Built for the ten minutes outside, not the expedition
- Moulded PVC upper and outsole in one piece, with no stitched seams anywhere on the shell
- Slip-on with a pull tab at the heel and another at the collar, so a tight moulded boot still goes on easily
- Ankle height — enough boot for a wet yard without the bulk of a full wellington
- Deep-lugged outsole with open channels between the lugs, for soft ground and mud
- Moulded toe bumper wrapping the toe box, where a boot takes most of its knocks
- Padded collar band at the topline so the opening does not cut into your ankle
- Fabric lining and fabric insole, rather than bare plastic against your foot
- Rinse them clean under a tap or a hose. The shell wipes rather than needing cleaning

What we are not claiming
We would rather be straight with you than sell you a return.
- These are not work boots. There is no steel toe and no composite toe. The moulded bumper protects the boot; it is not safety footwear and should not be treated as such.
- We describe the tread, we do not rate it. The lugs are deep and the channels are open, which you can see. We have no slip-resistance test for them, so we do not claim one.
- There is no insulation rating. This is a PVC shell with a fabric lining. It keeps rain and mud off your feet. It is not a winter thermal boot.
- PVC does not breathe. On a warm day your feet will get warm, the way they do in any moulded rain boot. This is autumn and winter footwear, and that is when the trade-off costs you least.
- The shell will not stretch to your foot. Moulded PVC does not give the way leather does, so the size you order is the size it stays.

Care
Rinse off mud under a tap and let them dry at room temperature, away from a radiator or direct heat. Do not machine wash. The fabric insole lifts out if you want to dry it separately.
