On a day hike, a dog walk or a travel day, the full width zip opens the main compartment into a wide scoop you can see straight into, so your phone, keys and gloves stay in reach without breaking stride.
It is not waterproof, and we would rather tell you that here than have you find out in a downpour. The fabric is polyester and the zips are exposed, so treat it as a dry weather carry.
