The woven polyester shell carries a supplier-stated 5,000mm hydrostatic head rating — the standard measure for fabric waterproofness. Rain hitting the outer surface beads and runs off rather than soaking through to the layer underneath. The elastic drawstring waist adjusts over any base layer or insulation without a belt or snap closure. Velcro-adjustable ankle cuffs seal around the boot top so water can't run down the leg from above.
Two zippered side pockets keep your phone, snacks, and trail essentials dry and accessible without a separate bag. Reflective strips on both outer ankle seams stay visible in low light — useful at dawn, dusk, or in mountain fog. The relaxed straight-leg cut fits over tights, thermals, or a base layer with full range of motion on the trail.
